Halim

Halim (حليم) is an Arabic adjective with two meanings.
*In Islam, "al-Halim" is one of the 99 names of God
*A virtue that can be translated as gentle, forbearing, mild, patient, understanding, indulgent, slow to anger—"what we call a civilized man" [Golziher, Ignaz, "Muslim Studies", ed. S.M. Stern (Albany: State University of New York Press, 1967), pp. 202–203, as cited in Stetkevych, Jaroslav, "Muhammad and the Golden Bough: Deconstructing Arabian Myth" (Bloomington and Indianapolis: Indiana University Press, 1996), p. 14.]
