History

Since its inception in 1981, Mascon Global Limited (MGL) has grown, through organic and inorganic processes, to be known as a global provider of technology services with offices and software development centers across USA, Mexico, Europe, and Asia. For the past 26 years, MGL has been the innovation partner of choice for blue-chip firms around the world, ranging from large Fortune 500 companies to start-ups.

About MGL Chairman - Mr. Sandy K. Chandra

Mr. Sandy K. Chandra, also affectionately called Sandy, is the Chairman and CEO of (MGL) Mascon Global Limited worldwide.

One of the first few IIT-ians to have actually worked in the technology discipline in early 70's, Sandy began his career with ABB Lummus Crest in the US and worked there for 18 years in various capacities, eventually going on to head it's operations in India. In 1981, he also became one of the founding investors of MGL and became responsible for shifting the company's focus towards themanufacturing sector.

Sandy formally joined the MGL board in the year 2000 and in 2003 when he was appointed the Chairman and CEO of the company, sold or pledged all of his assets to turnaround the company that was almost written off. He is credited with single-handedly guiding his team in transforming the company's financial and operational effectiveness, post the Dot Com crash and a slowdown in the IT sector.Under his stewardship, MGL has registered an impressive 500% growth since 2004 in revenues and a consistent growth in profitability. A feat achieved through his single-minded dedication to putting MGL on the global map and a thorough adherence to innovation and quality.

Today under his leadership, MGL develops and implements end-to-end IT solutions for clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups, in seven different industry segments. He is the brain behind company's mantra to become an IP-led growth company that will achieve a billion dollars in revenue by 2010 (1BY10 is the nick name for this ambition of MGL).

With a penchant for the finer things crafted by skilled hands, Mr. Chandra is also an avid art collector. Widely traveled across the globe, he spends his time, shuttling between his India office and his offices spread across geographies.

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rutgers University in United States (1976).
