Joseph Testa

Joseph Carmine Testa (b. 1955) was a member of the violent DeMeo crew of the Gambino crime family. He is the brother of murdered Lucchese gangster Patrick Testa. From the 1970s to the early 1980s, the DeMeo crew, called the "Murder Machine", was suspected of committing between 75 to 200 murders. The DeMeos would cut up their victims, pack them in cardboard boxes, and dump them in commercial garbage bins. The gang hangout was the Gemini Lounge in Flatlands, Brooklyn. Testa and Anthony Senter were called the "Gemini Twins" because they were always together and often hanging out at the Gemini. He was the leader of the two friends who always initiated things. Albert DeMeo, the son of crew captain Roy DeMeo, suspected that Joe was jealous of Chris Rosenberg's close relationship with Roy DeMeo. By the mid 1980s, most of the DeMeo crew had been sent to prison. His projected release date is 2032.
