Kamsack ,Saskatchewan ,Canada , and she grew up inSaskatoon . Reading stories was her favorite childhood hobby.Eleanor Coerr began her professional life as a newspaper reporter and editor of a column for children. She taught children's literature at
Monterey Peninsula College and creative writing atChapman College inCalifornia . For the past 25 years, she has been writing children's books, lecturing and visiting schools across the United States and aboard.Her previous children's books include: "
