Kurt Sauer (born January 16, 1981 in St. Cloud, Minnesota) is a professional ice hockey Defenseman in the NHL, playing for the Phoenix Coyotes.

Sauer has played for the Colorado Avalanche as well as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He made it to the Stanley Cup Finals with Anaheim in 2003. His father Curt played for the Minnesota Twins.

He is the older brother of Michael Sauer, also a defenseman who is a prospect in the New York Rangers organization.

On July 1, 2008, Sauer signed a 4 year deal with the Phoenix Coyotes worth an average of $1.75-million a year.
