Despite being given a new world to populate, the insectoid Killiks have not found peace. An unknown enemy has been attacking the new nests--and the Killiks hold the Jedi responsible. Traveling back to the Unknown Regions to unravel the mystery, the Skywalkers and Solos discover an evil far more familiar than they ever expected...and even more terrifying. Why does the Dark Nest want to kill Mara? Will Jacen's apocalyptic vision trigger another galactic war or prevent one? And perhaps most ominous of all, what deadly secret are the Killiks hiding?
To find out, Luke, Mara, Han, and Leia must embark on a perilous journey into the uncharted void between right and wrong. The ferocious Unknown Terrors are only the beginning of the awesome challenges that lie ahead in their quest to fathom the unfathomable. Characters
Battle of Murgo Choke
The
Murgo Choke is a group of four blue-white stars near the Utegetu Nebula. The intense gravity wells exerted by the four stars prevent any sort of hyperspace travel, hence the name "Murgo Choke". TheKilliks had built fifteen hive ships, with which they were going to leave Utegetu and attack both theChiss and the Galactic Alliance. TheFifth Fleet , under the command of theBothan Admiral Nek Bwau'tu, had blockaded the Choke because of an attemptedJedi mediation mission to the Utegetu Nebula. They wished to capture theJedi on the mission.Leia Organa Solo andSaba Sebatyne were being held on the "Admiral Ackbar" (Bwau'tu's flagship) at the time because they were trying to rescue theJedi on the mission, but were captured. Their team ofJedi inStealthX 's,Mara Jade andKyp Durron among them, had no choice but to put themselves inJedi trances and wait for rescue. Bwau'tu wanted to capture theseStealthX pilots.Luke Skywalker ,Han Solo ,Jae Juun , and Tarfang were meanwhile trying to find and killLomi Plo , the Queen of theGorog . To achieve this end, they stowed away on theGorog nest ship. Earlier on, the partnership of Juun and Tarfang had deliveredKillik spinglass busts of Bwua'tu to the "Admiral Ackbar". Unbeknownst to them, the busts each contained a number of tinyGorog assassin bugs, which were released at about the same time as theKillik hive ships made their move on the blockade. The blockade largely consisted of the "Admiral Ackbar", the "Mon Mothma", and the capital ships's starfighter squadrons. With his ship being invaded and theKilliks trying to break his blockade, Bwua'tu ordered theStealthX pilots onto his ship for refueling, then to go out and fight. Although Bwua'tu and his crew, aided byLeia Organa Solo andSaba Sebatyne , fought bravely, they could not hold the "Ackbar", and had to abandon it. TheKilliks seized the "Ackbar", and left the Choke with it to go and attack theChiss . Meanwhile, Luke and his team had to face downLomi Plo on the surface of theGorog nest ship. They managed to sendPlo into retreat, but Luke was hurt. The battle ended with fourKillik nest ships and the "Ackbar" escaping the Choke. Which side gained victory is questionable. The Galactic Alliance managed to hold their blockade (partially) and keep eleven nest ships at the Choke, but theChiss now thought that the Galactic Alliance had actually given the "Ackbar" to theKilliks to use against them.Sources
