Kelly [Kelly, S. E. 1998. Charters of Selsey. "Anglo-Saxon Charters" 6] notes that a bishop of this name attests a number of charters of Edward the Elder between 900 and 909, and attributes him to Selsey on the basis of a later composite document containing earlier material.
