Åkviksundet Bridge ("Åkviksundet bru") is a
cantilever bridge that crossesÅkviksundet between the islandsDønna andStaulen inNordland county inNorway . It is part of the road connection between the municipalitiesHerøy and Dønna. The bridge is 285 metres long, the longest span is 135 metres, and the maximum clearance to the sea is 24.2 metres. The bridge has 3 spans.Åkviksundet Bridge was opened by King Harald V on June 19, 1999.
