Henk Wisman (born
May 19 ,1957 inAmsterdam ,Noord-Holland ) is a Dutch footballmanager , who was the coach of theArmenia national football team for around a year.Wisman began his career at
AFC Ajax , having played in their youth system. Despite gaining international experience as a young player, as a member of the Dutch Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 teams, Wisman never secured a place in the first team. After eight years at Ajax, Wisman left the club in 1975 and went on to play atFC Amsterdam andSC Amersfoort . He retired as a professional player in 1980, although remained a player-coach at amateur level for a short while.Wisman went on to spend 19 years working with amateur clubs in the Netherlands, before taking over as head coach of
FC Volendam in 2000, and later toFC Den Bosch .Wisman was appointed to his current role in May 2005, replacing
Bernard Casoni . In addition to his role as international coach, Wisman also coaches Armenian club sideFC Pyunik , leading them to their fifth successive league title at the end of the 2005 season.At
April 7 ,2006 , Wisman was fired from Armenian national manager position. During 2006/2007 winter he also left Pyunik manager job and returned back toNetherlands , signing forFortuna Sittard . There he was sacked onDecember 15 ,2007 due to a bad relationship with the team, the club stated.External links
