Afdhere Jama (born 1978) is a Somali-American writer based in
San Francisco . He is the author ofIllegal Citizens (2008). His writing has appeared in publications all over the world. He is the founder and editor of "Huriyah", a queer Muslim magazine. Born and raised inSomalia , Jama moved to America in his late teens.Writing
