Taluka Mulshi is an administrative division, or

Pune , in theWestern Ghats mountain ridge. To the north of Taluka Mulshi liesTaluka Maval , to the eastTaluka Haveli , to the southTaluka Velhe , all part of thePune district , and to the west lies theRaigarh district. Mulshi Dam is the source of a majorhydroelectric plant , water from the river Mula is also used to waterrice paddies which cover much of the area in the valley around the river.
