Ballynoe

Ballynoe

Ballynoe ("Baile Núadh" in Irish) is a small hamlet close to Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland. The main feature of note is Ballynoe Stone Circle, a large circle of over 50 closely-spaced upright stones, surrounding a mound which, when excavated, was found to contain two cists in which cremated bones were found. The site is near the disused railway station, reached by a long footpath off the main road, at grid ref: J481404. [cite book | last=Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland| year=1983 |title=Historic Monuments of Northern Ireland | publisher=HMSO | location= Belfast | pages=p88] Ballynoe also has a bar called 'The Castle Inn'.

Transport

*Ballynoe railway station, on the Belfast and County Down Railway, opened on 8 July 1892, but finally closed on 16 January 1950. [cite web | title=Ballynoe station | work=Railscot - Irish Railways | url=http://www.railscot.co.uk/Ireland/Irish_railways.pdf | accessdate=2007-09-11]

The "Beast of Ballynoe" is said to roam across the moors (or at least the place where the moors should be!) on foggy, dusk-filled nights. It is said to have 4 ears, 2 are for listening and the other 2 are sort of back-up ears. It has feet as big as cups and doesn't have any eyebrows, except on Tuesdays. When it yawns it sounds like Liam Neeson chasing a load of hens around inside of a barrel, and for some reason it has a tremendous fear of stamps. And instead of a mouth it has 5 arses.

AND due to popular deman from many fans there is now a section on the two best sports coaches this small hamlet has ever seen. Rising through the ranks of greatness these two sporting masterminds have conquered all to win those elusive 100, 200 and 800 metre Sports Day trophys.

Works of art these legends have created includes Ballynoe's hero himself Wee Jimmy. However sadly Wee Jimmy was not good enough and now it's Wee Devo the atrocious, but who cares. These two sports coaches are none other than BEN AND LOUIS.

i would just like to say onemore thing mr february that last calendar was not up to standard.................. but u do have ur book to think about so
