Veliny is a village in the
Pardubice Region of theCzech Republic , 2 km east from townHolice . It has cca 360 inhabitants.History
The place is first mentioned in written document from
1366 .Wooden church of Saint Nicholas existed already in 14th century, its current
baroque style is from year 1752 (repaired in 1903). The building is now historical ladmark, protected by the state. Lying on edge of two religions the village had both catholic and protestant graveyards.Most famous person born here is
