MOLO (telecommunications)

MOLO is an acronym for Mobile Other Licensed Operator. It is a term used in the United Kingdom telecommunications market to describe a business which sells mobile telephone services directly to users but which does not own or operate its own network infrastructure. Such companies operate by buying a wholesale service from one of the mobile network operators and reselling this under their own brand to the customer. Examples are Virgin Mobile and BT Mobile.
