Timothy Brosnan

Timothy Martin Brosnan (February 7, 1960) was born in Carmel, California, the son of Thomas and Corinna Brosnan, and raised in Sumter, SC. A playwright, stage performer, theater critic, feature writer, photojournalist, educator, composer and digital artist, he has worked throughout New England and the southeastern United States.

Brosnan attended St. Anne's parochial school in Sumter, SC and Thomas Sumter Academy in Dalzell, SC. He received his B.A. in History from the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, in 1982. In 1997, he founded the Web and print design firm now known as Creative Hammer, Inc. (see below) He currently resides in Greenville, SC. As a UFO enthusiast, Brosnan counts Budd Hopkins and Stanton Friedman among his associates, influences and mentors.

Performer

Brosnan's regional and touring stage performance credits include Don Costea in "Walking the Line" at Theatre IV (Richmond, VA), Hideo Hayakawa in "Remains to Be Seen" at Flat Rock Playhouse (Hendersonville, NC), Dylan Thomas in "A Child's Christmas In Wales" at the Warehouse Theatre (Greenville, SC) Sam Krulick in "Claptrap" at Chaffin's Barn (Nashville, TN), Basil Pronker in "A Gentleman and a Scoundrel" at Northern Lights Summer Playhouse (Hazelhurst, WI), Barnaby in "Babes In Toyland" (Dollywood) and Alexandre Manette in the world premiere of Wendy Kesselman's musical adaptation of "A Tale of Two Cities" (Stage One / The Kentucky Center, Louisville, KY). He also has appeared in productions of "The Fantasticks," "The Edith Whartons," and "Moonlight and Magnolias" at Centre Stage, Greenville's Professional Theater.

For two years, Brosnan traveled New England performing poetry as a member of the Asheville, NC-based Iambic Productions company of Poetry Alive. A South Carolina Arts Commission-approved theatre artist, Brosnan served for five years as Artistic Director of The Baillie Players, an educational theater company based in Columbia and, in that capacity, he wrote, directed and performed in over a dozen original plays. The following plays, many of which are adaptations of literary classics, were written by Brosnan. All these plays have toured regionally. Those noted as (musical) feature music and lyrics composed and electronically sequenced by him as well.

* "Rudolf Rides Again" (musical)
* "Practically Peter Pan" (musical adaptation of "Peter Pan")
* "Oliver Twist with a Twist" (adaptation of Oliver Twist)

Creative Hammer

In 1997, Brosnan founded Timbalo! Inc., a Web and print design firm incorporated in Columbia, SC. The company name was derived from a poem by Edward Lear titled "The Jumblies". Timbalo! Inc. became Creative Hammer in 2005. The Creative Hammer client roster includes utilities and municipalities, as well as cultural, religious and educational organizations.

A loose affiliation of creative and technical professionals, Creative Hammer conforms to the adhocracy business model, assembling and managing teams of freelance contractors on a per-project basis.
