Terry Considine (born 1947) is the CEO of
AIMCO , areal estate investment trust that he helped found through various acquisitions and mergers. He attended Harvard University. He is also a former Republican member of theColorado state Senate, having served from 1987 until 1992. He left the state Senate early in 1992 to pursue the open seat in theUnited States Senate created by the decision of DemocratTim Wirth to forego a bid for a second term. Considine was defeated in the 1992general election by DemocratBen Nighthorse Campbell .
