WMRS plays the best music of the 70's, 80's, 90's, znd today. WMRS is the home of the very popular Super Trading Post and "TGIF" Pool Party Friday during the Summer season. WMRS Radio has won five Crystal Communicator Awards of Excellence for it's Sports Broadcasts. WMRS Radio went on the air in March of 1989 filling a void left by Power 95 formerly WVTL when they left the community in the mid 80's. WMRS Radio provides the area with up to the minute local news, sports, weather, and national news at the top of every hour. WMRS Radio sponsors the Monticello citywide Holiday Treasure Hunt, a Trukey giveaway, a Christmas Tree giveaway, a Mother's Day Contest, the Touch of Elegance Bridal Show, and the Lakes Area Home and Garden Show.
