A number of ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS "Onyx", including:

*"Onyx", launched in 1808 and broken up in 1819
*"Onyx", a brig launched in 1822 and broken up in 1837
*"Onyx", a drifter used as a depot ship and tender during the First World War
*"Onyx" (J221), a minesweeper commissioned in 1943 and scrapped in 1967
*"Onyx" (S21), an Oberon-class submarine in service from 1967 to 1991
