Kunthakulam Bird Sanctuary

Kunthakulam Bird Sanctuary is situated 33 km south of Tirunelveli in Nanguneri Taluk, Tamil Nadu state, India. It is a small and beautiful village of natural scenery. It is covered with natural forests and ponds. Between January and April, more than 10000 birds from various countries – including Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, the U.S. and Australia – migrate to this place. Daily over 5000 people come here to watch them. Ariyankulam is another bird sanctuary 13 km east of Tirunelveli.
