Shane McFaul, born in Dublin on May 23 1986, is a footballer currently playing for Eircom League side UCD.

During his career, he has also played for Virginia Beach Mariners and Brighton

Shane made his Republic of Ireland U21 debut in a friendly game against Germany on the 21 August 2007. He was also an unused sub in the European Under-21 Football Championship Qualifying games against Portugal and England.

Shane made his Brighton debut coming on as a late substitute during the 3-0 home victory over Crewe.

Shane was also called up to play for the Ireland U21's squad against England on the 5 February 2008 which was played at Southampon's St Mary's Stadium. Shane was an un-used substitute on the night.
