Iain Archer is a singer/songwriter from Bangor,
Northern Ireland , who was once a secondary lyricist within the indie bandSnow Patrol . Archer comes from a musical background and released several solo albums in the mid 90s on the small Scottish independent labelSticky Music . After a stint with Snow Patrol and a side project with Snow Patrol's frontmanGary Lightbody inReindeer Section , he returned to his solo career. In 2004 he released his album "Flood The Tanks".In 2005, Archer picked up an
Ivor Novello Award as part of the songwriting team behind Snow Patrol's "Final Straw " album."Canal Song" from Archer's album "Magnetic North" recently featured on
Grey's Anatomy Season 3 Episode 14 (Wishin' and Hopin') and "Everything I've Got", from the same album was used asiTunes "Free Single of the Week" during late March/ early April 2007.He also contributed vocals to the 2006 album "Waiting for Clearance" by
Freelance Hellraiser . The song "We Don't Belong" is set to be released as a single and has received airplay onBBC 6 Music ,Radio Ulster and others. "Waiting for Clearance" also features Archer's long time collaboratorGary Lightbody .Albums
