Kiwalaʻo

Kiwalaokinao (born ca. 1760,died July, 1782) He was son of King Kalaniokinaopuokinau and High Chieftess Kalola Pupuka-o-Honokawailani of Maui. He was briefly the 7th Alii of Kohala, 5th Alii of Kona and 3rd Alii of Kau, and thus ruler of the island of Hawaii, in 1782 following the death of Kalaniokinaopuokinau, his father. He was married in 1775 to his future consort, Queen Kekuokinaiapoiwa Liliha, through whose fathers (Keoua Kalani-kupuokinauapai-kalani-nui Ahilapalapa) wife, Kalola Pupuka-o-Honokawailani (the same mother of Kiwalaokinao) he was related to King Kekaulike, the 22nd Mookinai of Maui.

He was killed in combat by Keokinaeaumoku, at Mokuohai, in July 1782.

He had an only daughter,the future Queen Keopuolani-Ahu-i-Kekai-Makuahine-a-Kama-Kalani-Kau-i-Kealaneo, who married his successor, Kamehameha I.
