"American Routes" is a
public radio program hosted byNick Spitzer that explores connections between the many musical styles that have blossomed in theUnited States . It began in the late 1990s, and originates from studios in theFrench Quarter ofNew Orleans, Louisiana .American Public Media acquired the distribution rights fromPublic Radio International [American Public Media Press Release, http://americanpublicmedia.publicradio.org/press/archive/pr_030207.html] on March 2, 2007.In the wake of
