Willie Martin

Will Martin (born 13 July 1979) is a lawyer and the ACT candidate for the Dunedin North electorate. He is number 13 on the party list.

Previously known under the diminutive Willie Martin he announced as of April 2008 he would be going by the first name of Will. He has lived in Dunedin most of his life, apart from a year in the USA and a summer in Auckland. He studied law and commerce at the University of Otago and worked as a lawyer first with leading Barrister Mrs Judith Ablett Kerr QC and then at a leading commercial and litigation firm, Webb Farry after finishing his degrees. He is currently working as a lawyer at the Otago Southland Employers' Association and is undertaking postgraduate research at the University of Otago in Employment Relations. He has been in the Navy Reserve since 1997 and is currently an officer holding the rank of Lieutenant.
