Picton is a hamlet and civil parish located in the north of North Yorkshire, England. It is about 5 km south of Yarm and 12 km south of Middlesbrough.

The parish is in the Hambleton district and had a population of 108 according to the 2001 census. It lies just south of the border with the Stockton-on-Tees unitary authority.

The stream which lies east of the village is called the Picton Stell.

Events

Picton Fair is includes a bar in a tent, BBQ, Bouncy Castle, Ice cream van and lots of traditional games like the sack race. There are also lots of Horse and other animal competitions. Parking is charged for.
