(1997)"The Long Goodbye" (The Symphonic Music of Procol Harum) was released in 1996. Strictly speaking, this is not a
Procol Harum album; it was produced byGary Brooker with various guest musicians many of whom are or were members of Procol Harum. For exampleRobin Trower andMatthew Fisher appear on only on one track - "Repent Walpurgis", which Fisher composed.Unlike all the other songs on the album, the title track has never been officially released by Procol Harum. It was a Gary Brooker solo single and included on the Gary Brooker solo album
Echoes in the Night , which was co-produced by Brooker and Fisher, who also co-composed the song's music. Its lyrics were written by Procol Harum'sKeith Reid and Procol'sB.J. Wilson played drums on the track.Track listing
