Oslo T-bane which serves the southern part ofGroruddalen in the northeast ofOslo ,Norway . The line runs to Ellingsrudåsen, serving neighborhoods in the boroughs ofHellerud andFuruset . The line shares track with theØstensjø Line (which runs southwards) from the city center to Hellerud. The first part of the line was opened on
November 18 ,1970 between Hellerud and Haugerud. The extension to Trosterud was openedDecember 15 ,1974 , the extension to Furuset onFebruary 19 ,1978 and completed to EllingsrudåsenNovember 8 ,1981 .Unlike much of the suburban Oslo rapid transit network, much of the Furuset Line runs through
tunnel s. The only open-air station on the line is Haugerud. Trosterud is also over ground, but is built in at a tunnel entrance. Like all other eastern lines, the Furuset Line is operated by third rail. Before all the Oslo subway lines were connected to run through downtown, the Furuset Line was operated by Line 6, it is now operated by Line 2 which operates on theRøa Line on the west side.ee also
