"E. nostras" is an extremely rare insect in Britain [cite journal |quotes=no |author=Colin W. Plant |title=British Ant Lions … again |journal=Neuro News |date=Summer 1997 |volume=20 |url=http://insects.tamu.edu/research/neuropterida/nnews20.html] , only known from the Minsmere area of the
Suffolk coast, although a population of this or a related species has very recently been found nearWells-next-the-Sea ,Norfolk . To date, adult insects have not been found in Norfolk, only first and finalinstar larva e and an un-hatched cocoons. Because of this, the record is not yet confirmed as "E. nostras", as other species are closely similar.References
