The iron bamboo ("Ferrocalamus strictus") is a species of mountain bamboo. The genus "Ferrocalamus" is monotypic. Endemic to China, the plant is known uniquely from Yunnan's southern areas, from 900 to 1,200 m above the sea level.

Taxonomy

The genus "Ferrocalamus" is sometimes considered a synonym of "Indocalamus". However, "Ferrocalamus" is arbor-like while "Indocalamus" is a shrub.
