Advie

Advie

Advie (Scottish Gaelic:"Àbhaidh") is a village in the Highland Council Area in Scotland. It lies between the A95 road and the River Spey roughly half-way between Grantown-on-Spey and Aberlour.

The traditional/historical address is "Advie, Morayshire".

Although the ecclesiastical parish was combined with Cromdale and Inverallan many years ago, the village has its own church. The local cemetery with burials from the early 19th century to the present is located elsewhere at grid reference NJ 141 352 at Achvochkie; access is gained by turning off the A95 at the war memorial and following the trackbed of the old railway line from the road access at grid reference NJ 126 345, the route being passable by most vehicles for most of the year.
