Now at lightweight he qualified for the
2008 Olympics by advancing to the quarterfinals of the2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships . He did so by beating Vazgen Safar-Yants ofBelarus by a slim one point margin 19-18 but lost toDomenico Valentino 14:22 and won Bronze.
