December 21 ,1979 inVancouver ,British Columbia ) is a professionalice hockey defenceman for theAnaheim Ducks of theNational Hockey League .Having had previous spells with the
North Bay Centennials ,Erie Otters and thePeterborough Petes of theOntario Hockey League Montador was signed by Calgary as a free agent and spent time playing for theSaint John Flames out of theAmerican Hockey League . Montador made his Calgary debut during the2001–02 NHL season playing 11 games and scoring a goal and two assists for three points. Over the next two season, Montador played 76 more regular season games for Calgary and played 20 games in the2003–04 NHL Playoffs which saw Calgary reach theStanley Cup finals only to lose to theTampa Bay Lightning . With the2004–05 NHL season cancelled due to the2004–05 NHL lockout , Montador was one of many NHL players to play in Europe, playing for French outfitMulhouse . He was traded toFlorida early in the2005–06 NHL season in the trade that broughtKristian Huselius toCalgary . This summer he was signed as an unrestricted free agent to the Anaheim Ducks.Career statistics
