Hong Kong PDA User Group

HKPUG (Hong Kong PDA User Group, Old name: Hong Kong PalmPilot User Group) is a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong. Established in 1996, it is the first user group to gather PalmPilot users to share knowledge in software, hardware and use of Palm computing in Hong Kong. Among the most active user groups in Hong Kong, HKPUG frequently provides seminars and product launch meetings to its members and the general public interested in mobile computing. HKPUG also organizes activities jointly with other organizations in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. At present there is a monthly meeting for its members on the first Friday night of every month at a cafe in the Kowloon peninsula of Hong Kong.

From September 2005 HKPUG started a weekly Cantonese podcast "HKPUG PDA PODCAST" on discussions of PDAs, digital appliances and technologies, the first of its kind in Asia. The weekly podcast is available for download on its web page and other podcast websites such as iTunes. The podcast was among the top 100 podcast subscription under the 'international' category on iTunes (iTunes has recently re-arranged its categorization of podcast subscription and 'international' is no longer a category).
