Romanthony (born Anthony Wayne Moore) is an American
disc jockey , producer, andsinger . He is well-known, amongst other reasons, for his work with French duoDaft Punk (he provided the vocals for '"One More Time" and "Too Long" on their "Discovery" album). His stage name comes from his first name, Anthony, combined with his favorite book of theBible , Romans.Romanthony's work crosses several genres including house, R&B and
Hip hop . Tracks like "Hold On" make extensive use of sampling with a distinctly soulful house feel, while the later "Bring U Up" utilises aJames Brown stylebreakbeat .Romanthony has appeared on Black Male Records (his own label),

Romanthony is a new-school acid garage producer who routinely summons both the raw soul and the raw sound of originals from the glory days of acid house and garage during the late '80s. Though he is much more an underground name in his native America than Europe (where he has released several full LPs and collections), two Romanthony vocal performances (one co-produced) for the second album released by his fans Daft Punk helped lift his status in the mainstream dance scene. He began producing in the garage mecca of New Jersey, specializing in high-energy, low-fidelity productions during an era in which dance productions became ever more mainstreamed. Released on his own Black Male label -- he also owns Orange and World -- club assaults like "Floorpiece".
