Bandula Warnapura (born 1 March 1953, Rambukkana) is a former cricketer who captained Sri Lanka in their first Test match. He was educated at Nalanda College Colombo.

Presently he is the Director Cricket Operations Sri Lanka Cricket. He is also a match referee.

Warnapura captained the Sri Lankan team in their first four Test matches, leading them to three losses and one draw.

Warnapura did win his first match as captain, taking one wicket for 47 and scoring 18 as the team beat India at the 1979 World Cup

In the 1982-83 season, he led the Sri Lankan rebel team to tour South Africa. The whole team was banned from Sri Lankan cricket which was subsequently revoked.

Bandula is the 10th Sri Lanka Test Cap [Sri Lanka Vs England at Colombo 1981/82]
