Pittwater

Pittwater

Pittwater is a body of water extending south from Broken Bay, New South Wales parallel to the coast.

It was named in 1788 after William Pitt the Younger by Governor Phillip. [ [http://www.atn.com.au/pittwater/history.htm Pittwater History ] ]

It gives its name to:

* Pittwater Council.
* The Electoral district of Pittwater.
* Pittwater High School.
