- Natalia Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster
-
Natalia Ayesha Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster (née Phillips; born 8 May 1959) is the wife of Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster.
The Duchess of Westminster is the younger daughter of Lt.-Col. Harold Pedro Joseph Phillips and his wife, Georgina Wernher. Her elder sister is Alexandra, Duchess of Abercorn. The sisters are indirect descendants of the Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin as well as his African great-grandfather, Abram Petrovich Gannibal, who was both a tribal prince and a protégé of Peter the Great. It is through their father that Alexandra and Natalia are descended from Sophia, Electress of Hanover.[1][original research?][2][original research?]
Natalia and Gerald Grosvenor have four children:
- Lady Tamara Katharine (born 20 December 1979); married Edward van Cutsem (November 2004)
- Lady Edwina Louise (born 4 November 1981); married (27 November 2010, at Liverpool) Daniel Robert Snow (b 3 Dec 1978), son of Peter Snow, CBE (b 1938)
- Hugh Richard Louis Grosvenor, Earl Grosvenor (born 29 January 1991; heir to the Dukedom)
- Lady Viola Georgina (born 12 October 1992)
Natalia Phillips gained the title of Duchess of Westminster through marriage to Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster, the Grosvenor family being the hereditary holders of the Dukedom. The previous holder of the title was Viola, wife of Robert Grosvenor, 5th Duke of Westminster.
