Fred Ajudua

Chief Fred Ajudua is a Nigerian citizen, christian, philanthropist, businessman and Lawyer from Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta state, South-southern part of the country.

He is currently standing trial in Nigeria for alleged involvement in advance fee fraud "419" charges. These charges relate to collecting money under false pretences from Nelson Allen, a Canadian who allegedly lost $285,000 to Ajudua and is the only foreigner to have given mail-fraud evidence in a Nigerian court of law. Other suspected Ajudua victims include Technex Import and Export Company of Germany, which also allegely lost the equivalent of $230,000 USD, and a German woman who claimed to have lost the equivalent of $350,000 USD trying to collect purported dividends left by her late husband. It is expected that there are many more victims yet to come forward.

The court has heard how Allen visited the Central Bank of Nigeria with Ajudua, where they met an assistant director of the bank who "opened a file on his desk containing original documents of the contract and check for $28.5 million."

Ajudua has since been granted bail on health grounds following pleas from his Legal representatives by the court, though the Economic and Financial Crime Commission continues to maintain that he is hale and hearty. Fred is educated in Law discipline from the University of Benin, Benin-city, Edo state, South-south, Nigeria from where he graduated.

Philanthropy

Chief Fred Ajudua is famous in series of philanthropic activities which he has carried out in his Anioma region particularly Ibusa, his place of birth. Some of which include re-construction of a once bad major road in Ibusa connecting the town with Asaba and Ogwashi-Uku, a road where major Financial Institutions like the Union Bank of Nigeria and Platinum Habib banks are currently located. He has also been involved in the encouragement of security arrangement in his home town (neighbourhood watch) called "Egbeni" in his local dialect. libraries donations to some primary and secondary schools in Ibusa and beyond and bursary awards to university students of Ibusa, Ogwashi-Uku and Ubulu-Uku extractions amongs several others are parts of his charitable acts.
