W. Andrew Robinson (born 1957) is a British author and former newspaper editor.
Andrew Robinson was educated at the
Dragon School ,Eton College where he was aKing's Scholar ,University College, Oxford where he readChemistry and finally theSchool of Oriental and African Studies inLondon . He is the son ofNeville Robinson , an Oxfordphysicist .Robinson first visited
India in1975 and has been a devotee of the country's culture ever since, in particular thepoet andphilosopher Rabindranath Tagore and thefilm director Satyajit Ray . He has authored many books and articles. Until 2006, he was theLiterary Editor of theTimes Higher Education Supplement . He is based inLondon and is now a full-time writer. He is also a Visiting Fellow atWolfson College, Cambridge .Selected books
