Richard A. Weinberg is an American
psychology professor.For most of his career, Weinberg has taught at
University of Minnesota after earning hisPh.D there in1968 . He is known for hisMinnesota Transracial Adoption Study withSandra Scarr . This study concluded that "rather than the home environment having a cumulative impact across development, its influence wanes from early childhood to adolescence." This work is frequently cited in debates aboutrace and intelligence .Weinberg has served on the Board of Directors of the
American Psychological Association and theAmerican Psychological Society .Publications
