Imperial Tobacco launched the special edition "Celebration Pack", in which the design of the packet was changed, from the striped box it had used since 1987 (which was progressed from a previous brushed aluminium effect design). In April 2006, the company decided to make the "enhanced pack design" permanent. Advertising
Before the ban on advertising was introduced into the UK, advertisements for Lambert & Butler featured pictures of two men, one of whom was dressed as a
butler . Lambert would ask the butler something, and the butler would always have a witty response. For example, Lambert says "Got a light, Butler?" to which the butler replies "Very funny Sir." while holding a lamp.References
