Victor Warrender, 1st Baron Bruntisfield

Victor Alexander George Anthony Warrender, 1st Baron Bruntisfield MC PC (23 June 189914 January 1993) was a Conservative politician.

Warrender was the son of Sir George Warrender, 7th Baronet. He was baptised with Queen Victoria as one of his godparents and was educated at Eton College. He served as a Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards in the First World War and won the Military Cross.

On June 1 1920, he married Dorothy Rawson (d. 1975), a granddaughter of the Earl of Lichfield and they were divorced in 1945. They had three children:

#Hon. Robin Hugh Warrender (24 December 19278 April 2004), married Gillian ("Gilly") Elizabeth Rossiter, daughter of Leonard and Elsie Rose (née Oppenheimer) Rossiter. They had three children, Carolyn Robin Warrender, Annabel Rose Warrender and Hugh Mark Warrender.He married secondly, Tania Kolin (d. 7 June, 2007) [ Darryl Landy. "The Peerage" database online. Warrender was Member of Parliament for Grantham from 1923 until 1942, holding a number of ministerial offices and terms as a whip. He was created Baron Bruntisfield on 10 March 1942.
