Keechi Indians

Keechi Indians

The Keechi Tribe was a North American Indian tribe that inhabited the U.S. state of Texas. Prehistorically, their domain also included parts of Oklahoma and Kansas. They no longer exist as a political/cultural unit but have been assimilated into the present-day populations of the Caddo and Wichita (to whom they are related) and also into the Delaware Nation. These tribes live mostly in Southwestern Oklahoma, particularly in Caddo County, to which they were forcibly relocated by the United States Government.
