Empress Savina

Her Imperial Majesty the Empress Savina of Izmer is a character that appears in the fictional movie 'Dungeons & Dragons' (2000) with the part being played by actress Thora Birch.

History

The Government of Izmer appears to be much like the government of Jordan. The Governing body runs the county, but the Monarch has the final say. In the film The Empress Savina wants the people of Izmer to be equal and wants peace for all, but the evil Mage Profion wants power for himself.

One problem for the evil mage is that The Empress Savina has the ability to Control Gold Dragons, a power that would be great advantage if the Government were to turn on her Sovereignty and declare civil war between the Government of Mages and those loyal to the Royal family of Izmer. When civil war breaks out in Izmer, The Empress uses her powers and sends the Dragons into the war against Profion and the Mages.

Through the film Profion seeks the Rod of Savril, which allows the owner to control Red Dragons. When Profion takes hold of this rod, the red dragons are called causing destruction throughout the capital city. Finally the rod is destroyed and The Empress calls forth her Dragons to kill Profion. The Empress then resumes power and declares equality.
