Ruckus was founded byMike Roselle and co-founded withTwilly Cannon andJR Roof to specialize in environmentalactivism andGuerrilla communication .The Ruckus Society has created and inspired untold amounts of direct actions around the country. Adrienne Maree Brown came on as executive director in 2006, the first woman of color to lead the organization.
