Sydney ,February 11 ,1955 ), is a former science teacher and professional footballer (rugby league ) who now presents weekend radio shows onABC Local Radio stations acrossQueensland ,Australia , broadcasting from the studios of612 ABC Brisbane .Boland was captain of
New South Wales rugby league team "Wests Magpies" (now part of the NRL 2005 premiership-winning joint-venture club "Wests Tigers"). During the football season, he co-hosts ABC TV coverage ofQueensland Cup rugby league matches. These telecasts are broadcast withinQueensland on ABC TV and acrossAustralia on bothFox Sports and digital channelABC2 (free-to-air channel 21, pay TV channel 126).Well-known for his intelligent sense of humour, Boland played "Pete the French Polisher" on the ABC TV show "
Club Buggery ". Boland is also famous for his trademark moustache, which went missing in January 2006 but turned up again two months later.Boland's radio broadcasts can be heard from 9am-midday (10am-midday outside
