Hugh Scully (b.
5 March 1943 ,Bradford-on-Avon ,Wiltshire ), is a Britishtelevision presenter . His is best known as the host of theBBC show "Antiques Roadshow " from 1981 to 2000.Scully joined the BBC in 1965 as a
freelance journalist . He worked on news magazines and was a presenter on BBC's "Nationwide." His interest inantique s led him to become chairman of the radio show "Talking about Antiques" in 1967 and "Collector's World" in 1970.Scully was chosen in 1981 to present "Antiques Roadshow" along with
Arthur Negus . Negus retired in 1983, and Scully was the sole host on that show for 17 years. He retired as presenter in 2000 and was replaced byMichael Aspel . Scully currently runs a television production company, Fine Art Productions, and as of 2003 also hosted a segment on "Britain's Finest ".He also runs an antique shop, "Road Show Antiques" in
Falmouth, Cornwall . He currently lives nearHelford ,Cornwall .###@@@KEY@@@###succession box
