Naghadeh, ( _fa. نقده, _az. نقده, or سولدوز, _ku. نخده or نقده ), formerly known as Sulduz (سولدوز, also spelled "Solduz" or "Suldoz") in is a city in northwestern Iran with 72,975 inhabitants according to the 2006 census [http://www.gazetteer.de/wg.php?x=1133357966&men=gcis&lng=en&gln=xx&des=gamelan&dat=200&geo=-106&srt=pnan&col=aohdqcfbeimg&pt=a&va=x&geo=-1904] , 23 km southeast of Lake Urmia about 1,300 metres above sea level. It lies in the West Azarbaijan Province.

Historical places

Solduz has several cultural and recreational attractions like "Yeddi goz" or "Hawt kani" and "Sultan Yaghoob". The most important worth seeing and historical places of the city are as follows:

*Keleshin historical inscriptions in south-west to Lake Urmia.
*Hasanloo ancient hill (Teppe Hasanlu) located 12 km. north-west to Naghadeh of which the “Golden Cup” is very famous.
*Several wetlands.
*Zendan and Baha Hasan caves.

Naghadeh, (Persian: نقده, Azerbaijani: نقده, or سولدوز, Kurdish: نخده or نقده ), formerly known as Sulduz (سولدوز, also spelled Solduz or Suldoz) in is a city in northwestern Iran with 72,975 inhabitants according to the 2006 census [1] , 23 km southeast of Lake Urmia about 1,300 metres above sea level. It lies in the West Azarbaijan Province. the main language of peoples who live in Sulduz is Turkish and refer to Qarapapaqs.

Economy

The region economy greatly depends on agricultural products, also cattle and sheep are raised both for meat--lamb and mutton--and for wool, so enough meat - wheat - corn - and dairy products available to feed its own people as well as for export to people in other cities.

Region farmers also raise apples, grapes, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, peas, and other fruits. The high farm production results from the fertile soil and the use of modern machinery and scientific farming methods.
