- Laplink PCmover
-
Laplink PCmover is a software that can transfer programs between Windows computers. A few things that the software can't transfer is hardware drivers, software that uses its own hardware drivers, multimedia files, and toolbars.[1]
Reception
The PC Authority writers said that they were impressed with the software because zero of their files were missing and all of their applications worked right away.[2] Jon L. Jacobi, of PC World, said that the pros are that the software migrates data and applications and includes a data transfer cable. Jon said that the cons are that it doesn't handle complex migrations gracefully and has unclear instructions.[3]
