History

P2’s roots date back to 1999, when a group of investors formed Petroleum Place Energy Advisors and bought the Oil and Gas Asset Clearinghouse. In 2000, Petroleum Place purchased Paradigm Technologies, home of the accounting solution, Excalibur.

In 2003, Petroleum Place merged Paradigm, Novistar (formerly Oracle Energy), and business process outsourcing firm Petroleum Financial, Inc. to form P2 Energy Solutions.

The following year, P2 acquired spatial data solution, Tobin International. In 2005, P2 acquired the Canadian solution, Qbyte. PetroSoft, and Wellcore followed in 2007 and 2008. P2’s most recent additions came in 2011, when Explorer Software Solutions and WellPoint Systems were acquired[2].
